Dj Trance & Fester - Trance Fester Volume 1 (Mixtape) [1992]

1st of 4 tapes they released together. Classic oldschool techno when the scene was at its peak here in Los Angeles. You can still hear the industrial orgins of electronic, early techno was dark, solid and pounding before it turned more jumpy. IMO my favorite style of all electronic, hard Detroit beats with a noisy synth dropped on top, and a sample of some random movie line. I love the oldschool style of mixes, back and forth transitions and a ton of samples. When djs weren't scared to use their fader and actually touched the vinyl.

I played the shit out of this tape as a youth.

Early break hardcore pioneers Ellis Dee & Swan E are well known across the atlantic, here in the states you'll know them if you've been listening to early 90s techno. Clean break beat hardcore tapes, pre jungle & drum n bass.

Oscar Da Grouch & Marc Anthony - In Three Deee (Mixtape) [199x]

Oscar Da Grouch may be known for his jungle & dnb mixes and releases, but I grew up seeing his name on tons of early rave flyers in the early 90s in Los Angeles. He was a hardcore techno break beat dj at one point. Don't know too much about Marc Anthony.

Dj Trance - Los Angeles (Mixtape) [1992]

One of the 1st mixtapes I bought. Dj Trance Aka Jason Blakemore. He was very much a techno breakbeat dj at this point, it wasn't till the later 90s he transformed into the (minimal acid techno) killer. Imo his acid tapes are his best work.

*This tape gets confused with the Dj Trance Vs. R.A.W. - Wake Up L.A. Mixtape, which will uploaded soon.
